If a repair will not last, or a replacement someone quoted you is not necessary, we say so.
Small openings, clean edges
Old plaster and tile are respected. We open only what the repair needs and leave edges a plasterer can work with.
Clear explanations
You see what we found. When it is useful, we show you the corroded pipe we took out, and where your shutoffs are.
Why the focus on pipes
Brooklyn's building stock is old, and most of the trouble in an old house starts in the pipe itself rather than in the fixtures. Galvanized lines narrow and leak. Joints between different metals corrode. Cast iron stacks crack. Lead turns up where nobody expected it.
